Oficinas do Convento is launching 4 calls for the Artistic Creation Grants Program, aimed at artists and creators from various fields, both national and international. The goal is to support projects focused on creation, research, and production in the following areas:

ARTÍSTIC residency
Applications open until February 20, 2025
As in previous years, this call invites individuals to submit proposals that utilize BRICK, whether through its direct application — objectual, constructive — or by exploring new forms, applications, or its expressive, poetic, social, historical, or cultural dimensions.
For the 2025 edition, two proposals will be selected to participate in the Artistic Residency at the Association, for 4 weeks in May.
This call is open to all creators from different artistic disciplines (architecture, photography, design, fine arts…), over 18 years old, national or foreign.

The reissue of this invitation becomes propitious due to the differentiation of the proposals brought to the public. The search by creators to initiate or continue encounters and crossings between sound and objects also highlights this relevance.
We opened the call to 5 people interested in participating in June 2025, in Montemor-o-Novo, for 10 days, with the results of this process to be exposed within the scope of the Cidade Pre0cupada Multidisciplinary Event.
The artists invited to guide the Collective Residency, in the year 2025, are Inês Castanheira and Wouter Jaspers.
The competition is open to all artists and other creators, over 18, national or foreign.

Oficinas do Convento invites visual artists, graphic designers and multidisciplinary creators to participate in the design of the visual identity of the Multidisciplinary Event Cidade Preocupada, for the year 2025.
We seek to enrich this event with new perspectives and forms of creation and conception.
This is a multidisciplinary event of a creative and recreational nature, through which Oficinas do Convento disseminates creative ideas and concepts that escape, or intend to escape, the conventional sphere.

Annual call for the BREVE MENTE Street Gallery, where the aim is to give visibility to artists and creators who want to disturb the city of Montemor-o-Novo, its inhabitants, and those who pass by.
“The proposal arises as a consequence of waiting for a red light… a moment in which I feel the urge to invade, and invite people to invade, these empty storefronts filled with ideas, feelings, illusions, poetics, which transform this wait into a moment of escape from everyday life. through reflections provoked by what is found in this “gallery”. The presence of this Gallery has a significant impact on the community, it aims to stimulate creativity, collective reflection, and promote broad social dialogue.
